My name is Susan Berg, and in 2022 I uprooted my life in Melbourne and moved to Montenegro to live out my dream of running open-water swimming holidays in Europe. And thus began Ocean Blue Swimming Tours!
My vision is to build the open water swimming community and bring like-minded people together to share fabulous new experiences and create lifelong friendships. I'd love to invite you to share this journey with me!
I'm an avid and passionate open-water swimmer, but this hasn't always been the case. I vividly remember the challenge of facing my fear of water and swimming the 1.2-kilometre Pier to Pub in Lorne back in 2017. Since then, I've undertaken many challenges, including swimming the English Channel in a 4-person relay, and completing a solo crossing of the 20-
kilometre channel between Cottesloe Beach and Rottnest Island. These adventures gave me
a sense of freedom and joy, and I was grateful to build strong and supportive friendships along the way!
If we are yet to meet, I'd love to learn about your swimming journey and how you became an open-water swimmer. Did you grow up with a love for the open water, or, like me, did you start later in life? Do you already enjoy the camaraderie of swimming with like-minded people, and if so, where do you swim?
I'm excited to welcome swimmers to Montenegro (a small country just below Croatia) in late September 2022, and I'd love to share this incredible adventure with you! I know it's going to be so much fun!
