World Swim Day 2022! How will you celebrate World Swim Day?

Updated: Feb 21, 2023

It seems there’s an international day for everything and we’ve just discovered that there’s a World Swim Day, who knew? Well, now we know, we are passing on the news!

World Swim Day is taking place on Saturday 22nd October this year and is a celebration of swimming, unifying swimmers from all over the globe. MySwimPro launched the event and invite you all to get involved in any way you can. The aim is to raise awareness on the benefits of swimming, whilst also creating a community of swimmers of all ages, levels and geographic locations. Connecting swimmers and getting to know new swimming buddies is something we at Ocean Blue Swimming Tours can really get behind. Swimming and making new friends is a huge part of what we do! As subscribers to our mailing list we would like to get in on the action and encourage you to take to the water on World Swim Day. We have a little challenge of our own; if you are not an open water swimmer we suggest going for a dip in the water and taking a pic or video. If you are a confident swimmer, why not share your Strava with us also? As the saying goes, ‘if it’s not on Strava, it didn’t happen’. Support World Swim Day by sharing your dip or swim with us on our Facebook page or tag us on Instagram, don’t forget to use the #WorldSwimDay too. The team at Ocean Blue Swimming Tours can’t wait to see what you get up to this World Swim Day! Yours in swimming, Susan Berg
