Porto Montenegro: A Touch of Luxury in Tivat

Updated: Feb 21, 2023

Multifaceted Montenegro has a little bit for everyone, whether that’s sprawling national parks and mountain ranges to high-end hot spots for shopping and people watching. The latter is Porto Montenegro all over!

This newest addition to Montenegro’s coastline started life as a former Yugoslav naval base and began its luxury glow-up in 2007 after the land was bought by a Canadian entrepreneur and group of investors.

As an alternative to the likes of Monaco and St Tropez, Porto Montenegro was designed to attract the yacht crowd, with an impressive 450 berth super yacht marina at the centre of the development. Strolling along the waterfront and admiring the yachts isn’t the only attraction in the area, the site also boasts fine dining restaurants, swanky bars and a parade of designer boutiques.

Following breakfast, we'll gather at the dock and board our private boat to begin our day. Our morning swim will commence from Kostanjica and take us towards the Bay of Morinj, covering an approximate distance of 2500 meters. With mountains surrounding us on all sides, the setting is breathtaking. Once we reach our destination, we'll get back on the boat, change into dry clothes, and transfer to Tivat.

Upon arrival near Porto Montenegro, we'll take a leisurely stroll past the grand yachts and enjoy lunch along the promenade. We'll then take a brief boat ride to Sveti Marko Island, where we'll swim around the perimeter covering an approximate distance of 3500 meters. You're free to swim as little or as much as you wish. Later, we'll head back to our hotel for a quick refresh before dinner.
